BEFORE YOU PROCEED YOU WILL NEED:

USA Hockey Number

USA Hockey Numbers are free for volunteers. To obtain your 2025-2026 USA Hockey Number, visit https://membership.usahockey.com/

Once you have your USA Hockey number please complete this registration. Thank you for volunteering!

The following items need to me completed as soon as possible once they are available. You are not a compliant volunteer if your background check and SafeSport are out of date.

Background Check

To begin the background screening process, visit https://www.usahockey.com/backgroundscreen

Background checks are good for 2 seasons and expire June 1st of the 2nd season. Depending on your circumstances, the background will typically take 3-10 days and usually cost $30, which is reimbursable through the Club. Simply fill out a Reimbursement Request Form, attach your receipt and email to treasurer@santarosaflyers.org.

SafeSport Certification

To begin SafeSport Training, visit http://www.usahockey.com/safesporttraining

This online training consists of short videos, text and quizzes, broken into segments, which you can complete at your own pace. Make sure you access SafeSport through the USA Hockey website so that they can see your completion. Safesport certifications are good for one year and expire on your date of completion. Refresher courses are available beginning 60 days before your currant certificate expires.

CAHA Anti-Bullying Training
