Flyers 2025-2026 Tryouts
Tryouts for the 2025-2026 season will be held on June 7th and 8th, 2025.
Our tryouts are being held before the normal tryout weekend due to rink renovations. Because of the early dates there are restrictions on who can try out.
If you played for another NorCal club in the 2024-2025 you are not eligible to register for this try out.
We expect to open tryout registrations around May 1st. Exact date will be announced as soon as we know it.

- 10U -- 2015 and 2016 Birth Years
- 12U -- 2013 and 2014 Birth Years
- 14U -- 2011 and 2012 Birth Years
- High School -- 2007-2010 Birth Years and enrolled in HS.
The Mites season begins September 1st -- No Tryouts
- 8U -- 2017-2020 Birth Years
When
Practices will begin in August. Preseason games begin in September. Based on the results of the preseason NorCal will place teams in appropriate skill divisions (B, BB, A) Regular Season games begin in October.

- Varsity: $3,450
- Bantam 14U: $2900
- Peewee 12U: $2900
- Squirts 10U: $2750
- Mites 8U: $1400
- Dual Roster: $1000
- Sibling and goalie discounts do not apply to Dual Rostered players
- Squirt, Peewee, Bantam, and Varsity goalies pay 50% of the standard dues.
Dues can be paid in full or in monthly payments over the course of the season.
Where
All practices and home games are played at Snoopy's Home Ice in Santa Rosa, CA.
Away game locations will depend on which teams are in our divisons.

- Tournament fees for one away tournament.
Extra Costs Not Included In Dues
Extra costs include but are not limited to:
- Practice jerseys and socks
- Flyers apparel including training shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc
- Apparel can be purchased from our local partner Sonoma Design Apparel
- Registration fees for additional away tournaments the team may choose to participate in
- Food, lodging, or travel expenses for away games and tournaments.
- Personal protective gear and equipment
Games
Squirt, Peewee, Bantam, and Varsity
Preseason games begin in September. Regular season games begin in October. The season runs through March. NorCal Playoffs are generally the first or second weekend of March.
Most games are held on Saturdays and Sundays. However, some tournaments have games scheduled on Fridays and Mondays.
Practices
Teams will have multiple ice touches each week. These touches can be practices or games.
- Mites 8U -- 2 touches
- Usually Wed, and Sat or Sun
- Squirts 10U -- 3 touches
- Peewees 12U -- 3 touches
- Bantam 14U -- 3 touches
- SPB: Usually 1 weekday, Sat, and Sun
- Weekday slots rotate between Wed, Thu, and Fri.
- High School -- 4 touches
- Usually Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun
Some age groups also have weekly dryland or conditioning practices.
Uniforms
Required Equipment
- Black Certified Hockey Helmet with full face shield or cage
- Black Hockey Gloves
- Black Breezers (hockey pants)
DO NOT replace your helmet, gloves, and breezers (ice hockey pants) if they are not black.
When buying new equipment please purchase black only
Required Uniform
All players are expected to have:
- Flyers practice jerseys, black and white
- Practice socks, black
- Game jerseys, home and away
- Game socks, home and away
- Pant shell
Game jerseys, socks, and pant shells are included in membership dues.
Tournaments
All teams except Mites participate in at least two tournaments during the course of the season. One of those is our Wine Country Face Off in February.
Membership dues include the registration cost for the WCFO and one "away" tournament.
