Financial Aid
FINANCIAL AID OVERVIEW
There are three types of financial aid available for members of the Santa Rosa Junior Hockey Club:
- SRJHC Financial Aid
- Application due by August 15th, 2024; decisions made by September 15, 2024
- NORCAL Scholarships
- Info to be announced
- Applications due around October 1
- The "Senior Commitment" Scholarship for graduating high school seniors:
- Awarded at the end of each season.
- Applications due by April 15th, 2025
SRJHC Financial Aid
The Board of Directors budgets a certain amount of money each year for the SRJHC financial aid program. This money is available for members of SRJHC travel and house teams. Financial aid is not intended for Intro to Hockey participants, nor are they designed for long-term or continued financial support. Generally, these are one-time, partial scholarships for members facing temporary financial hardship; no full scholarships will be given. All awards will be applied directly to SRJHC dues and are not redeemable for cash. All scholarship decisions are the discretion of the SRJHC Financial Aid Committee.
Applications are due August 15, 2024.

NORCAL Scholarships
NorCal Scholarships are available for eligible travel team players. Generally, these are partial scholarships.

Senior Commitment Scholarship
The Flyers Commitment Awards are monetary scholarships given to athletes in their final eligibility year as a SRJHC youth player. The intent is to congratulate outbound graduating senior High School players, and to show the Club’s appreciation for their dedication and commitment to representing youth hockey in Santa Rosa as they embark on their future and long-term educational goals.
NOTE:
Application deadline, April 15th for 2025!!
Requirements:
- An athlete may only apply for this award one time, during their final high school eligibility year as a Flyers youth hockey player, and must be a SRJHC member in good standing.
- Players must write and submit a letter with the following information:
- Overview of your youth hockey career, incl an accounting of the number of completed seasons as a full-time Flyers player.
- Name of High School graduating from.
- Information about your future educational pursuits.
- What has the experience of being a Flyer meant to you?
- Two letters of recommendation from members of the community (a coach, teacher, employer, volunteer coordinator, for example).
All applications must be received prior to *APRIL 15th*, and should be emailed directly to the following three SRJHC Board Scholarship Committee members:

Monetary value of awards are based on the number of full seasons completed as an active player while a member in good standing with the Club. Awards are usually distributed before July 1st, and are in the form of an award certificate and a check from SRJHC written directly to the educational institution listed in the player’s letter. All scholarship award decisions are at the discretion of the SRJHC Senior Commitment Scholarship Committee.
